Terms of service

Draft outline, not legal textThis page lists what the terms need to cover. A lawyer should write the actual terms before Plus Side takes payment.

What the terms need to cover

  1. The service. Plus Side is an information service that posts betting alerts to a private Discord. It is not a sportsbook, does not accept or place bets, and does not hold money.
  2. Eligibility. Members must be 21 or older and may bet only where sports betting is legal for them, at sportsbooks licensed in their state.
  3. No guarantee of profit. Prices change, bets can be rejected or voided, and any bet can lose. Alerts are information, not financial advice.
  4. Sportsbook accounts. Sportsbooks may limit or close accounts. Plus Side is not responsible for a sportsbook's decisions or its rules.
  5. Accuracy of data. Odds come from a third-party data provider and can be out of date or wrong. Members confirm every price at the sportsbook.
  6. Subscriptions and billing. $49 a month, billed through Whop. Members can cancel any time from their Whop account. State the refund policy here.
  7. Seat cap. Membership is limited. Plus Side may close sign-ups when seats are full.
  8. Acceptable use. Alerts are for the member's own use. Sharing or reselling alerts, or giving others access, ends the membership.
  9. Availability. The service can be interrupted or changed, and features marked "Planned" may not ship.
  10. Liability, governing law and contact. Limits of liability, which state's law applies, and how to reach Plus Side (hello@plussideodds.com).
